Gateways School
Gateways School is an innovative, highly successful independent school for girls aged two to eighteen and boys aged two to seven. The school is located in Harewood, between north Leeds and Harrogate.
Our aim is to produce pupils who are: confident, independent and adaptable individuals; intellectually curious, analytical and reflective learners; considerate, tolerant and supportive community members; principled, articulate and enterprising leaders; and conscientious and informed global citizens.
We achieve this by:
• teaching a challenging academic programme that gives each pupil the chance to secure the best possible qualifications.
• offering opportunities for pupil enrichment and personal growth.
• creating chances for Pre-prep, Prep, High School and Sixth Form pupils to work side-by-side across the school to create a strong sense of community spirit.
• providing a seamless transition across all areas of the school.
• understanding each pupil is an individual learner who has specific goals and needs.
• bestowing individual care, attention and encouragement on each pupil and celebrating individual achievements.
At Gateways, no pupil is anonymous – each pupil is known; each pupil is valued.
You will find details of our ethos, aims and vision and many aspects of school life within this website. We hope this information will encourage you to visit the school, which is the best way to experience our ethos and atmosphere.
I look forward to welcoming you.
