Pastoral
We aim to teach every child at their level to encourage confidence, yet set challenging goals. We assess the children regularly. When areas of concern are identified, we contact parents to discuss the best way forward. We have a full-time Learning Support Co-ordinator in school who oversees appropriate individual assessment whether internal or involving external expertise. The Learning Support Co-ordinator then ensures that the children’s needs are met. A team of learning assistants support the children where appropriate.
We are keen to work in partnership with parents to provide a broad and balanced education. This leads to the rounded development of each individual child.
Staff are available on a daily basis to talk with you about your child. In addition to this, each child has a communication book which comes to and from school each day. Pre-Prep Parent Consultation Evenings are held in November and then again in March.
Progress reviews are posted in the first and second terms each year. There is an opportunity to discuss these in parents’ evenings. At the end of the academic year a full school report is written and sent to you.
