Meet our new Headmistress

Mrs Yvonne Wilkinson began her role as Headmistress of Gateways School on 1 September 2009, taking over from Mrs Denise Davidson who had completed a very successful 12 years in the role.

Mrs Wilkinson joins Gateways from Holy Trinity School in Kidderminster where she was Head Teacher from 2003. The school was awarded the title of Independent School of the Year by the West Midlands News in January 2009. Prior to that Mrs Wilkinson was the first female Deputy Head in the 125-year history of King Edward VI Five Ways School Birmingham, one of the top grammar schools in the country.

She has had a very busy start to her new role, attending numerous school events and getting to know all the children, parents and staff.  A series of 'meet the headmistress' events took place in the first half of the Autumn Term which gave all parents the opprotunity to meet her personally.
