Lower IV sleepover

Lower IV enjoyed the sunshine out on the sports field last Friday, where they were set the challenge of recreating a member of staff as a scarecrow. This activity, which kicked off the Lower IV sleepover, certainly allowed their artistic talents to come to the fore and captured their imaginations. Many of you will have seen the scarecrows earlier this week as they sat in an amicable circle by ‘The Bear’: Mr Chatterton playing his guitar; Mrs Titman on her laptop and mobile phone, and Mrs Wilson in a full Spanish costume. Mrs Hayward was, of course, immaculately dressed in a lovely designer outfit and Mr Box was in full sporting regalia. The evening continued with a pizza supper, an aerobics session with Miss Green and a midnight walk into Harewood. The night sky was a little cloudy when the girls lay down in silence, with torches switched off, but they could still see some stars and listened carefully for wildlife. After returning to school, everyone set up the Sports Hall for the night. Perhaps not much sleep was had, but certainly Mr Wallace’s big breakfast was much appreciated the next morning. Many members of staff joined in during the evening to enjoy the fun and the delightful company of Lower IV.
