25.09.09Girls get a taste of ‘the real thing’
Three groups of Lower V GCSE Business Studies pupils began their year by entering The Real Challenge. This is a regional competition run by Coca-Cola, which has tasked schools to create a conference and education venue for the new Coca-Cola at Sidcup. The groups were asked to: undertake research for what the centre should include; then design and cost the build, including all its fittings and furniture; and then organise an event to launch the centre. On Thursday, all three groups presented their pitches to the judges, Mrs Sarah Britton and Mrs Cathy Thomas-Varcoe, who were most impressed with their contributions. The winning entry will be submitted to the regional semi-finals. We wish them luck.
