Gateways’ NCO Open Day success

The National Children’s Orchestra Open Access Day took place in the Gateways Performing Arts Centre last Sunday and was a tremendous success. The all-day event, which included sessions of full orchestral work as well as separate instrumental sections, was attended by almost 100 children, including past and present pupils of Gateways School, and concluded with a short concert in the Performing Arts Centre for parents and friends of those taking part. The music played included ‘The Yellow Road of Texas’ and ‘Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines’. For further information about the National Children’s Orchestras, please see Mr Dutton.
