Stunning Performances at Vaulting and Dance Assembly

On Monday,December 14 the P.E department presented their annual dance and gymnastics assembly in the sports hall. The school welcomed a large, appreciative audience of parents, as well as – for the first time – pupils from Wigton Moor Primary school who were invited as part of the Primary Initiative to watch the performance and then participate in a trampette workshop.

Girls from Upper 1 through to Lower 3 performed dance routines from their PE lessons as well as the High School Upper 3 dance club. The audience waited in great anticipation for the new vaulting routine based on the theme of ‘secret agents’. Thirty girls were involved and they performed gymnastic skills with precision and daring. They are now working towards the Leeds Gymnastic Display competition on January 31 at Dewsbury sports Centre.

Congratulations to all the girls who took part.
