Prep school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a big hit with audiences

On Tuesday and Wednesday evening a cast of sixty Prep School girls wowed audiences with their production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The girls acted, sang and danced their way through the heart-warming and uplifting story of young Charlie and his adventures at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Director Miss Feeney was delighted with the girls’ efforts and said: “The girls were wonderful. There was a tremendous amount of team spirit and every single girl had a significant part to play in the success of the production. They showed great commitment and enthusiasm throughout the rehearsal period and it paid off – the audiences seemed to really enjoy themselves” On Monday afternoon, the cast had given a special matinee performance for local residents and pupils and teachers at Harewood Primary School who were particularly impressed by the girls’ singing.

Mrs Wilkinson said: “It was a wonderful production and the audience clearly enjoyed it immensely. Being part of a production such as this is extremely valuable – as well as having a lot of fun, the girls learn a great deal about teamwork.”
