On a rainy Monday evening the U12 team hosted Tadcaster Grammar in a friendly match. Despite the slippery conditions, both teams played some good netball. At half time the schools were level at 5-5, but with more control, the Gateways team pulled ahead. The final score was 9-7 to Gateways. Several players were making their debut for Gateways, so congratulations to them, and in particular Katie Spencer for her Player of the Match performance.

Senior Netball
The senior team played in a tournament at Woodhouse Grove School involving 12 schools.  They played incredibly well, losing only one game but did not make it through to the semi-finals by a point.  Special mention should go to Alice Wainman, Jennie Stubbs and Olivia Jay for their effort throughout.

The U15 team played Woodhouse on Tuesday evening and although Gateways lost the match, Miss Fox was an extremely proud coach.
The whole team played impressive netball and implemented new tactics into their match play.

Week Commencing 19/9/11


The U13’s vs Woodhouse Grove A.
The U13’s made an amazing start to this years netball season ; beating Woodhouse Grove A 18-12. They  played some fantastic netball ; gelling well as team and putting in place the new tactics learnt in recent training sessions. Amelia Hattersley and Courtney Leathley were outstanding in defence; always putting pressure on in the circle . Both Courtney and Amelia were players of the match.
