Counterpoint Choir (U3 – U6)
An auditioned group of approximately 16 singers who meet every Wednesday lunchtime to prepare music for concerts and special events such as Open Morning, award assemblies or invitation concerts. Many of the choir sing in external choirs for example the Opera North Children’s Choir, or National Youth Choir and many take individual singing lessons.

High School Production practice (U3 – U6)
Rehearsals for the school production which usually takes place in the Autumn term.

Hockey (U3 – L4) (U4 – U5)
Hockey tactics and match play

*Individual Music Lessons (U1 – U6)
30 minute lessons taught by our peripatetic teachers. Lessons available include Piano, Singing Violin, Guitar, Drums and woodwind instruments including Clarinet and Flute. Lessons for pupils in U1-U4 are taught throughout the school day on a rotating basis (so pupils do not miss the same part of the day each week). Priority is given to GCSE and A Level students for lessons before or after school or during free periods.

*Karate (AK) (U1-U6)
A Karate class run by external provider “A.K Family Karate and Fitness” which provides students with realistic and accessible self-defence strategies. It is a blend of different disciplines and styles of martial arts which draws on “Tang soo do” boxing and freestyle kick boxing. Students grade from white belt (beginners) through to black belt and Dan status. To view the AK Karate website please click here.

Lit Society (U3 – U6)
This group meets one lunchtime per week to discuss books, poems and all things literature.

Netball (U3 – U4) (U4-U5)
Develop skills, tactics and prepare for matches.

Orchestra (U3 – U6)
This small ensemble meet and have specialist instruction from woodwind and string teachers. Every pupils who reaches grade 1 will have music that they can play and take the opportunity to learn ensemble skills.

Pop Up Art Club (KS3)

Rounders Skills (High)
This club is run in the summer term and focuses on developing rounders skills in preparation for matches.

Running Club (U3 – U6)
For those interested in running and general fitness.  There is a KS3 and KS4 club. Runs usually take place around the Harewood estate and are for all levels and abilities.

School Council (High)
The High School Council is run by the Sixth Form School Council prefect. It consists of one pupil per form group plus one member of staff. The group discusses issues and initiatives such as the level of homework and the lunch queuing system etc.

*Speech and Drama (U1-U6)
Sessions are designed to embrace drama and movement work and will also provide our pupils with important speaking and listening skills which support the curriculum through key stages 2-4. Lessons are group based and pupils will be entered for external group drama examinations with New Era Academy.

Subject Clinics 
A chance for GCSE and A Level pupils to catch up on any missed work or to go over any topics pupils are unsure about or they feel they need further support with.

Ultimate Frisbee (KS4)
A fast paced team game with high energy levels and quick scoring. An exciting mix of Netball, American Football and Basketball.
