Marketing Executive

Developing and maintaining a high profile and attractive impression of the strengths of a Gateways education is seen as fundamental to the ongoing success of the school.

The successful candidate may be a recent graduate or postgraduate in a relevant discipline or they may have had experience from a previous relevant role.

Main purpose of the role

  • To advise the Leadership Team on the most appropriate, up to date marketing strategy for the school both overall and with regard to specific school activities;
  • Through the Headmistress’ PA, to keep the Head fully briefed on all aspects of the school’s marketing activities;
  • To co-ordinate all marketing and advertising needs of the school both at home and overseas, and
  • To perform general office / reception and secretarial duties as required

Main responsibilities of the Marketing Executive role

  • To design and produce all school promotional material and publications in-house wherever possible;
  • To liaise with design and print agencies as necessary when in-house production of school promotional material and publications is not feasible;
  • To coordinate all filming and photography related to the school;
  • To liaise with school staff in order to identify promotional opportunities;
  • To follow up prospective parent leads following prospectus issue or visit;
  • To keep all aspects of our digital presence (the website, Twitter feed, FaceBook page, LinkedIn, Blog etc) up to date, interesting and relevant;
  • To increase traffic to the website using links between social media and the website including paid social media advertising;
  • To liaise effectively with the media, providing copy as and when required;
  • To conduct market research, monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for increased exposure and delivery of key messages in target areas, and
  • must have a sales mentality
