U10 Netball v Richmond House (Friday 6th October)

Result – Won 5-1

The U10s played superbly well in this very friendly fixture as they ran out 5-1 winners. The opposition had spells in the game where they were able to create some opportunities to score but it was the Gateways girls who controlled the game with quick and incisive passing.

Libby Sperke stood out on the afternoon but the team, as a whole, had one of the best games to date.

U8A Tag Rugby v Ashville and Richmond House

Result – Won 2 Lost 1

The U8 tag rugby team performed superbly well on an afternoon where they came of age. They defended as a team, attacked as a team, and each and every player did something on the afternoon to help the team score points. Player of the Match awards went to Zack Burnley and Lucas Kitson but the team ethic and the support play was excellent across the board.

U9A&B Netball v Richmond House

Result –

U9A lost 4-10

U9B lost 0-9

The U9A&B netball teams visited Richmond House on Tuesday. Both teams showed some good netball with footwork showing a real improvement. The A team saw a positive partnership between Amelia Sims (GA) and Jasmine Levison (GS) in the circle with 4 goals being scored and some good attacking play against a good opposition.

The B team, who were not as experienced, gained in confidence understanding more about positioning on the court and defending in the circle as the game progressed.

Player of the Match awards go to Amelia Sims and Madeleine Davison.
