The U11A team had a fantastic afternoon at Terrington, capping their performances by lifting the trophy at the end of the day!

The U11As started their first match fairly sluggishly and spent the first three minutes camped inside their own half. However, they burst up the court and slotted the first points of the game and from that point never looked back. Three comfortable group victories followed and placed them in a semi-final match v Richmond House A. This match was less of a formality. 3-2 down at half time, it required a tactical switch to nullify their attacking threat and three unanswered points in the second half secured passage through to the final. The final was against their first opponents of the day; Bramcote. The opposition, once again, made life difficult for Gateways and the match swung back and forth. At 5-4 up, with 30 seconds to go, the opposition Goal Attack strayed offside and that was it. The victory and the trophy belonged to Gateways! Everyone involved deserved huge credit but Elle Johnson and Izzy Dyer were outstanding on the day and took the Players of the Tournament.
