We hope all students will make the most of their time in the Sixth Form, accepting responsibility for their own learning with the support of their subject teachers and personal tutor. The sixth form have their own social space in the cellars and study facilities in the new Schofield Building as well as access to the Cox-Simpson Library and Careers resources.
There are many opportunities to get involved in the life of the school whether as a leader or participant. Most sixth formers undertake volunteering roles in the local community, or within school, for example helping younger children with their reading, as part of the Community Link programme.
Sixth Formers take part in an enormous variety of activities including: musical
performances; drama productions; Duke of Edinburgh Award
Scheme; and sports, as well as running their own
clubs and societies and planning the annual Christmas entertainment.
If you have any further questions about life in the Sixth Form at Gateways, please contact us and we will do our best to answer them.
