Tutorial System & Academic Work

Most students take four subjects to AS Level in the Lower Sixth and then continue with three of them to A2 Level in the Upper Sixth. The following subjects are available and you will find additional information about the courses in the relevant subject sections of the website: Art & Design Biology Business Studies AVCE in Business Chemistry Classical Civilisation Design & Technology: Food Technology Drama & Theatre Studies Economics English Literature French Geography German Greek History Information and Communications Technology Latin Mathematics Media Studies Music Physical Education Physics Religious Studies Spanish There is the opportunity to follow a General Studies programme which may be taken as an additional examination. An AS Level in Critical Thinking will also be available from September 2005. In the Lower Sixth all students work towards the English Speaking Board's Certificate in Spoken English for Higher Education. Each student has her own individual timetable and is assigned a personal tutor who will meet with her at least twice a term to encourage sound academic progress.
