 The
Gateways Prep School and Nursery offer an exciting
all-round education in spacious, purpose-built
surroundings for girls aged 2-11 and boys aged
2-7. Our class sizes are small and our staff
highly qualified and experienced. Children enjoy
learning in this purposeful and caring
environment.
Children may join the purpose-built Gatehouse
Nursery on their second birthday. They will move
to Littlegates in the half term after their third
birthday and will stay for up to five terms in the
Lower Reception class. Children move to Upper
Reception in the September prior to their fifth
birthday. Lower and Upper Reception work closely
together in a specially designed area within our
new Littlegates building. This includes their own
dedicated outdoor learning and play area. The
Transition (Year 1) and Lower I (Year 2)
classrooms are also in Littlegates.
The older girls in the Prep are based in Youngers,
a dedicated junior building with its own hall.
Pupils of all ages enjoy the use of the school’s
specialist music, sports and ICT facilities and
older pupils also make use of the Cox-Simpson
Library.
