 The
three to five year olds work closely together in
their own area of the Littlegates building,
following the Foundation Stage curriculum.
Children can spend up to five terms in Lower
Reception as they join the class at the half term
following their third birthday. During this time
they may attend on a full time or part time basis.
Sessions are timed as follows:

We recommend
that children start with a minimum of 3
sessions per week although many may choose to
attend a greater number of sessions, including

Early Birds and Sundowners, our before and
after school clubs are open to all children
from Lower Reception upwards, allowing the
option of extending their day between the
hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm. For more

Children join Upper Reception in the September
prior to their fifth birthday and attend
school full time. They may also attend.
We feel that social and emotional development
of the children is of the utmost importance,
so settling them happily into the Nursery
routine is our first priority. We help them
learn to share, to listen and to play
cooperatively.
