The Gateways Parents and Friends Association

Gateways Parents & Friends Association is a group of parents and teachers committed to supporting and enhancing the development initiatives of the school through exciting and fun fundraising events. The PFA aims to develop and sustain a strong, fun and beneficial community within Gateways School.

The Core Committee is made up of the following parents:-

• Sarah Cooper – Chair.  Parent to Ellie and Leah in Prep School.
• Helen Ogden – Vice Chair. Parent of Sophie and Isabelle in Prep School and Littlegates.
• Hannah McGorman – Secretary. Parent of Olly in Prep School.
• Michelle Bairstow – Treasurer. Parent of Edie in Sixth Form.
• Fiona Rose – General committee member. Parent of Charlotte and Florence in the Prep School.
• Simon Williamson – General committee member. Parent of Lewis in Prep School.
• Vicky Lister –General committee member. Parent of Emily and Elliot in Prep School.

We also have a fabulous team of additional volunteers who regularly help out with events when time allows.

Did you know

Over the last 5 years you have helped raise a whopping £60,000, through events such as the Christmas and Easter fairs, the Summer Ball, and ice cream & uniform sales.

Funds have been used to help:

– Build the outdoor education facility & resurface the sports courts
– Host and contribute towards Cabaret evenings, the Sixth Form leavers party, the GCSE results lunch and the end of Prep party
– Buy a Pizza oven & projector screen
– Upgrade the Prep playground equipment

Get involved

As you can imagine a committee like the PFA requires a team effort and we would love to welcome new parents to the association.

Could you help in any way?

• Would you like to be contacted about future meetings?
• Are you able to give a few hours of your time to assist with future events?
• Are you able to donate a prize for the auction at the Summer Ball?
• Do you run a business that would like to donate to or sponsor the Summer Ball?
• Do you have any spare time to help sell ice-creams and pre-loved uniform?
• Are you able to help with prize shopping and gift wrapping?
• Do you have any ideas for future fundraisers?
