This year is all about developing self-awareness and “selling yourself”, as well as beginning to formulate potential decisions about life after GCSEs and career area choices. Pupils begin to examine their own skills-sets, compile CVs, develop presentation skills, including practical experience of interview techniques, and research potential career interests.
This is delivered through:
Clear and comprehensive information, particularly useful for the Job Profiles section, covering easy-to-read outlines of over 800 different jobs. A good starting point when beginning to consider the breadth of career areas available.
Highly visual site using over 1000 video stories to examine jobs, career families and routes to qualifications. Useful for those who prefer to watch and listen to information rather than just reading.
For developing awareness and skills for successful interview strategies and potential questions.
